| Bentonite Clay has been used for a long time by natives and Indians
to cure many diseases and health issues. Bentonite Clay has been used
in many areas of alternative medicine, as a detoxifier.
Bentonite Clay is a substance that can be found around
Fort Benton, Wyoming, but they can also be found in various places
around the world, especially in the Northwest of the United States. It
is like a natural resource; it isn't man-made, artificial drug. But
enough with the Bentonite Clay trivia, what does it actually do for our
colon?
An Effective Detoxifier
Bentonite Clay is an effective detoxifier with
substances that absorb toxins from our GI tract. Bentonite clay can
never be absorbed by the body, so it's not poisonous at all. When we
take Bentonite Clay with Psyllium Husk,
the clay does the important duty of absorbing all toxic substances from
our mucuous linings - it's like a magnet that attracts toxins. Psyllium
Husk then finishes the job by "pushing" all these nasty substances such
as mucoid plaque out of our body.
The reason Bentonite Clay is so effective in doing this is because it
has a negative charge, and most toxins in our body have a positive
charge. We learned in Physics class that opposites attract (you were
paying attention, right?). So it makes Bentonite Clay so useful in
binding to toxins.
Bentonite Clay can absorb any toxic substances
imaginable: impurities, harmful bacteria, poisons, pesticides,
pathogens, parasites, etc. It does this without posing any nasty side
effects in us, because as mentioned before, it can't be absorbed by us.
According to Frederic Damrau, Bentonite Clay can help put a stop to diarrhea:
"When 35 individuals suffering from diarrhea took two
tablespoons of bentonite in distilled water daily, the diarrhea was
relieved in 97% in 3.8 days, regardless of the original cause of the
problem."
Bentonite Clay ultimately cleans the intestinal
linings. After a colon cleanse, our colon can then absorb nutrients and
minerals much easier than before. As a result, our symptoms and
sicknesses disappear from this boost in absorption, and the elimination
of toxins.
Are there any bad things about Bentonite Clay?
There is a slight trace of aluminum in Bentonite, but it's hardly
worth fretting about. That said, if your body is intolerant to even a
little aluminum, it's best to take Oxymag instead of Bentonite Clay
and Psyllium Husk.
Bentonite Clay can also absorb some nutrients, so it's
important to take it at least 1 hour before or after a meal. Don't take
Bentonite Clay with vitamins or supplements at the same time.
You shouldn't take Bentonite alone - always take it
with some fiber, such as Psyllium Husk. Why? To prevent it from getting
stuck in our intestines. The fiber will push the clay out, as well as
all the toxins it attracts.
What are other uses of Bentonite Clay?
Bentonite can also be used externally, to treat skin problems and
for detox baths. Some people have used Bentonite Clay to treat skin
rashes with a lot of success. If you have skin eruptions such as acne,
you should try applying Bentonite Clay on your skin, as it does a
tremendous job of extracting/removing all the toxic matter buried
inside your skin.
Bentonite can also be used in a detox bath, where we apply
the Bentonite Clay around our body. It helps releases toxins out of our
body, and it is a great routine to practice during colon cleansing.
Instructions: - Mix 1 tbsp of powdered bentonite clay in about 4 oz. of juice.
After about a week, increase the clay amount progressively up to a
maximum of 4 tbsp. daily in separate doses.
- Drink
the bentonite mixture on an empty stomach for best results. If you have
already eaten a meal, wait approximately 1 hour before taking the
supplement.
- Follow
the manufacturer’s directions if you decide to use bentonite in gel or
capsule form. If you’re taking it under a health professional’s care,
follow his instructions. Alternative doctors often modify the dose
according to the person’s needs.
- Add
psyllium to your bentonite mixture for maximum results. Mix 1 tbsp. of
bentonite (liquid form) and 1 tsp. of powder psyllium husk in about 4
oz. of juice or water. Mix it well and drink it right away.
- Have
plenty of water throughout the day. Expect the clay to draw toxins,
viruses, and chemicals while in the intestine. When the body eliminates
the bentonite in the stool, it also eliminates any pathogenic agents
bound to the clay.
